This one day tour from Venice lets you discover the romantic city of Verona, where Romeo and Juliet's tragic tale happened. Sample some wine at the famous Amarone vineyards in the Valpolicella region. Travel in a small group of a maximum of 8 participants and visit Verona, the town of Romeo and Juliet. Take advantage of your free time and explore the town on your own. Don't miss the famous Juliet House! After Verona you will continue to Amarone and enjoy tastings of some of Italy's best wines in one of the traditional wineries of Valpolicella region.

  • Any cancellations made between 8 business days (17:00 local time) to 4 business days (17:00 local time) prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 50% of the total amount.
  • Any cancellations made after 17:00 local time, 4 business days prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 100% of the total amount.

Head on over to the medieval towns of the Valpolicella region for a chance to visit the 13th Century church of San Giorgio with its beautiful altar dating as far back as 712 AD. You can also admire the view of the scenic Sirmione and Lake Garda.

Amarone Wine Tasting
From here you will drive to a vineyard for a guided visit as you discover the famous 'Amarone' wine. Enjoy samplings of some of their different wines. Learn the tedious process of producing fine wine, you may also purchase a few bottles to take with you, such the Recioto della Valpolicella.

Arrive at the center of Verona, Piazza Bra, where the world famous 1st Century outdoor Arena is located: third largest in Italy, it has over 22,000 seats and is the perfect place for outdoor operas and concerts. *Lunch is included for private option only.

You will have approximately three hours of free time to visit the house of Juliet (as in Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet), the historical Piazza delle Erbe and some of the exclusive shops around the city.
